Honest Abe is a commercial released April 2010 by GEICO as part of their Rhetorical Questions campaign to promote their auto insurance policies. This commercial was a play on the "Honest Abe" nickname for Abraham Lincoln.
Mike McGlone repeats his trademark question "Could switching to GEICO really save you 15% or more on car insurance?", followed by "Was Abe Lincoln honest?"
On a grainy black-and-white film, Abe's wife Mary Todd Lincoln asks him "Does this dress make my backside look big?" He ponders this question with hesitation for a few seconds before saying "Perhaps a...", making her leave in frustration.
